Paperself work shop.

This week we had to create a look from our face charts and use paper self lashes.

Face chart.

I decided to cut the lashes in half and use one half following along the curve of the shadow above the brow and the other under the eye. But not right up along the lash line slightly down more running in sync with the liner on top. I think it really adds to the look.

After creating this look i don't like the colour scheme and feel it would look a lot better in a darker colour. Just by changing the picture to black and white it looks a lot better. I am going to experiment with creating this look again but using blacks and browns.

These are some images from vogue in 2010. The textures and the shapes in the mask really remind me of the paperself lashes. 

This has definitely got me thinking about experimenting with different textures in my design.
