This is my chosen hair design for my Contemporary Elizabethan look. I have now designed my three final face charts which i feel tie in with this. I didn't want anything too overpowering as the hair makes quite a statement and don't want it too look like there is too much going on.
1.
I have chosen to use the colours purple and gold mainly in this one. I chose these because purple was a colour in the Elizabethan era thatr symbolised royalty, so i thought it was a good way to give it an Elizabethan feel through sybolism. I chose gold because yellow is purples complimentary colour so i thought gold fit quite well. In this face chart i wanted the eye to be the focus. I dont want too much going on everywhere as i feel it would be to much, with e.g. a bold eye and lip. I chose to use a dark purple liner on the eye and then make it a bit smokey with purple shadows in the outer corners. I used gold on the inner corners. I would also want white lashes. I only put liner on the lips on the top outer one as i felt it gave it a little something instead of leaving it bare. The whole face would have white foundation and a slight bit of blusher.
2.
This next face chart i have used the same colours for the sam reasons but made the lip the focus instead of the eyes. I would want a dark purple lip liner going round and a purple in the middle getting slightly lighter towards the middle. I have used the same blusher as above. I would then only slightly line the underneath of the eye with purple eyeliner and a touch of gold and brown in the corners of the eyes above. Like above, lashes would be white and foundation white.
3.
My third look i have gone away from the purples and golds and gone with a more natural look. I chose to keep the lips strong and be the focus again. I used pink blusher, and the used it on the eyes too. I would line the eye with white eye liner underneath and used white for the lashes. The face would also be white. I would also give the brow a bit more definition in this look.
A couple of experiments-
If this look was chosen i would purchase lipstick, a more plum purple.
