Experiments

I have decided for my final 3 charts that for at least one i want to use the colour purple. As in the Elizabethan era purple was sign of royalty so thought it would be a good idea to give it a Elizabethan feel through symbolism. I would also use gold, as it is a complementary colour.

These are not for my final design i was just experimenting with the colour purple. I would like to incorporate a purple lip into one of my looks. But do not like the one above as i would want it much darker. So i will purchase the right colour if i chose my face chart with the purple lip.

I was also thinking about styling for the neck area and researching things and came accrros Hendrick Kerstans. I feel like Hendrick Kerstans photo's are really inspiring. Although i feel they look old fashioned, the materials used really make them contemporary in his shoot with his daughter, which also has a real Elizabethan feel. The use of doyles as a collar and napkin on the head has really got me thinking about materials that could be used to give different effects. He is using everyday things, like empty cans, and books which i would never have thought to use. It has definitely got me thinking outside the box more and i want to experiment with different things and realise that it doesn't need to be expensive.
